The End of an Era? Jews and Elite Universities, a timely, in-person and live-streamed symposium presented by the Center for Jewish History’s Jewish Public History Forum. Bringing together leading scholars, writers, and public thinkers, this program addresses the alarming rise of antisemitism on American college campuses, with a spotlight on the crises unfolding at Harvard, Columbia, and other elite institutions. Acclaimed historian and professor, Pamela S. Nadell, will lead a featured session titled “Columbia and Harvard: The Exception or the Rule?” examining the historical and contemporary roles these universities play in shaping Jewish academic life.
